Membership Dues Process

Annual membership dues are due on August 1st of each year.

A reminder will be sent to all members at the beginning of July that membership dues are due by August 1st.  Members will be notified by either electronic communication (email) or by mail if no email is on file.

Late Fees applied:

Annual membership dues that are not paid in full by September 1 of the current year will incur a $50 late fee.

An additional late fee of $50 will be incurred on October 1 of the current if the annual membership dues are still not paid.

Eviction/Removal Notice:

If annual membership dues are not paid in full by November 1 of the current year the individual will receive a notification (by email and/or mail) by the Kempshall Mountain Club President that their membership is revoked.

If the individual also owns a cabin the process will follow the Kempshall Mountain Club Bylaws, Article 2 Section 4.

No member who is delinquent in any financial obligation to the Club, such as dues or assessments or campsite rentals, is permitted to build or own or occupy a cabin on Club land. Any a member who is so delinquent and owns a cabin on Club land shall be required to remove the structure when notified by the Club President. “As voted on at the May 2, 2010 meeting, the cabin owner will have a one-year period to successfully sell the cabin or remove the structure from the Club property. In addition, the cabin owner is responsible for all taxes and fees paid to the Club’s landlord. Failure to comply with the above statement requirement will result in the loss of ownership of the cabin at which time the ownership will revert to the Club.”

Financial Hardship

The Kempshall Mountain Club understands that financial hardships can make it difficult to pay annual membership dues and cabin fees (if applicable). Kempshall Mountain Club President and Treasurer will consider financial hardships on an individual basis. Financial Hardship is defined as a substantial unexpected and/or unforeseen loss in income. In such cases, the request for financial hardship consideration shall be made in writing to the Club President. The request will be reviewed by the Club President and Treasurer. Upon mutual agreement and acceptance, such request for financial hardship consideration shall be granted for a period not to exceed one (1) year and in a manner decided upon by the reviewers reasonably appropriate to the facts and circumstances presented.

Any individual granted a financial hardship will be considered a member in good standing in Kempshall Mountain Club for the granted year.
